Three (3) scholarships in the amount of two thousand ($2000.00) are awarded in the fall of each year to qualifying applicants enrolled in an apprenticeship program at the Carpenters Millwrights College. Only one (1) scholarship is awarded per program.

Due to the nature of the start dates of the College, and the scholarships being issued in the fall, it is possible that a scholarship may be awarded after the applicant has completed their entry level program.

To be eligible, the Applicant must:

1. be a child or spouse of a member of Local 579, Local 1009, or signatory contractor. The member or contractor must be in good standing with a minimum of five (5) years of continuous service;
   
2. be a high school graduate (or equivalent);
   
3. have started their program within the calendar year for which the scholarship is awarded;
   
4. be in good academic standing within their program;

Application Process:

1. Applications may be obtained from the administration office of the Carpenters Millwrights College at 364-5586.
   
2. Applications may be sent or received via mail, fax, email, or in person.
   
3. A copy of the high school transcript must be attached to the application.
   
4. Deadline for applications is September 30.
