The office staff was excellent and they go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. My overall experience at the college was excellent; and, I would recommend it (CMC) to anybody.

There is pleanty of hands on training which ensures that students are capable of doing the required tasks. There is lots of shop space with plenty of room for students to complete their projects. The instructors always ensured a safe environment for students to work. The CMC was a great place to learn the carpentry trade; and, I would definitely recommend it to others.
Kurtis Smith, Carpentry Program, September 2011
The office staff are fantastic - everyone knows you by name and not a number. It was a very safe work and learning space with shops that were big and plentiful and the instruction was top shelf.

The office staff is the best I have been around; and, they will help you with anything you need. The course structure had lots of hand on which will help you in the field and the facility had a wide range of tools and plenty of space. Can't wait to come back!

Shane Kennedy, Millwright Program, May 2009
"At the college, shop time, equipment, and hands on training was excellent. Tools were a definite advantage because you got experience on all tools of the trade before entering the workforce. The hands on at the college also greatly enhances one's ability to understand the theortical side of equipment. At the Carpenters Millwrights College, the atmosphere was laid back but at the same time safety was uppermost important. Teachers took the time to show you how to be safe both at the facility and on the job. The instructors and staff at the college are there not only to teach but to be friends with you. The experience goes deeper than teaching people to building relationships. It was all around an excellent experience. I would definitely come back to do other enhancement courses. The staff and facility were perfect. Going to miss it!"
Maria Murray, Scaffolding Program, January 2009
"The Carpenters Millwrights College (CMC) was the best choice for myself for this trade (scaffolding). The great practical experience and instruction I received gave me the confidence to go out into the construction industry. There was alot of encouragement and support and there was always someone you could go to for answers. There was no differential treatment which helped build my confidence level . From day one, I was treated like a scaffolder, like a trades person. the CMC was the best school I ever attended!"
Robert Rose, Millwright Program, May 2009
"At the college, you are instructed in every facet of your trade. You get to use all the tools of the trade and you are trained how to use them safely - you are taught to go in safe and come out safe. I was really impressed with the instructors, their experience, their knowledge, and their willingness to pass this on to their students. It was a school based on team work - a family atmosphere where everyone knows you by name!"
Angela Rowsell, Painter/Decorator Program, May 2009
