To help fund initiatives to increase participation of women and under represented groups on the job site, the Resource Development Council and Vale Inco have established a Diversity Fund as part of the Long Harbour Nickel Processing Plant collective agreement. The fund consists of scholarships in the amount of $10,000 which can be used to complete the nine month entry level apprenticeship programs in Millwright, Carpentry, and Interior Systems Mechanic (Lather) or the six week Heavy Formwork program.  These scholarships are only eligible to those who meet the entrance requirements for the programs and for those who do not qualify for other forms of non-repayable funding.  The scholarships are for tuition costs only and all other costs will be the responsibility of the participant.

All applications will be subject to review and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  For more information, please contact Karen MacDonald at 364-5586 (ext. 261) or by email at karen@cmcnl.ca
